What Are We Doing For The Environment?     Mechanical Edge believes in the environment. Here’s what we are doing to protect it.  If you have additional ideas on how we can improve, let us know.  We are always looking for better ideas.	Our business is paperless.  Electronic submittals, invoicing, product information, and project management.  We use paper only when we have to.   We often bike commute to reduce our operating costs, improve our health, and help the environment.   We size equipment to match the loads and specify the most energy efficient equipment our clients can afford.   We perform life cycle cost analyses to help our clients make informed decisions based on all costs including capital, maintenance, and energy.
We buy local products for everything we can.   We minimize travel by taking photographs during site visits for future reference versus a return trip.   We combine stops when traveling.   We volunteer for clean-up events in our community.	We recycle glass, paper, metal, plastics, and batteries.   We wear comfortable clothes during the day that suit both work and personal activities thus reducing dry cleaning and wash water needs.  Comfortable clothes allows us to adjust our office temperature by a few degrees to save energy.   We drink tap water.  No more bottled water for us.  We also buy concentrated juice mixes.   We reduce our consumption and buy only what we need.
